My name is Max Sergeant, I’m 22 years old, born and raised in Amsterdam. I started drumming at the age of 3—well, tapping on pots and pans—but I quickly traded those in for a real drum kit. Things progressed faster than expected, and although I’ve spent nearly 10 years at the conservatory (starting with the preparatory program during high school), I recently graduated from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. This has been a fairly unique experience for me, as I took lessons from Uli Genenger (who also teaches at Muziekcentrum Logblock) until I was 13.
